the evo cooler is a pain in the butt to put on....it has a small pin you have to get line up just right for the heat sink to fit right.
if you have a loacal micro center look at there mb and cpu combos.

No GPU? And an aftermarket cooler at that budget seems a waste of precious dollars to me?

I was just curious why you'd recommend a cooler at that budget? Stock cooler adequate at $500 surely?

In any case, we can't see OP's build, so until we can see that it's hard to provide advice.

OP - just so you're aware, that build you best-answered has no GPU, so will be entirely unable to play anything other than the most basic of games. Add a decent GPU to it and it's great gaming build, but it'll also be well over your $500 budget.
