G.Skill does not manufacture the memory chips themselves. They just buy the ones that meet their specs and mount them on the dimm board. So it is possible the KeyEye Communications is a supplier of memory chips. But KeyEye also does not manufacture memory chips themselves so their role in the process is unclear. Memory chips can come from lots of places:I have G.skill Ripjaws V F4-4266C17D-32GVKB DDR4 2x16GB sticks and in Thaiphoon Burner, it states the manufacturer is KeyEye Communications. There's no mention of G.skill anywhere in Thaiphoon Burner. Did I buy counterfeit RAM?
Keyeye does not manufacture anything. They just design and package stuff. The chips are manufactured by Samsung and then packaged onto the dimms which are designed by someone else. Perhaps Keyeye was involved in the design.@dwd999
Thaiphoon Burner clearly indicates I'm using Samsung B-die RAM chips on my DIMMs.
Does Keyeye Communications manufacture the DIMMs to g.skill specs? Like an OEM?
