[SOLVED] What does Ram bottleneck looks like?

So I've been trying for a long time to understand what causes massive fps drops for me, in games even like Fortnite (we're talking close to 1 fps for a few seconds, frequently).
My specs: i7-7500U, 4GB DDR4 2133MHz, 940MX with 2GB GDDR5, and HDD 5400rpm.
But what I'm asking is: has anyone had this kind of stutter and found the problem to be RAM? cause I've read somewhere CPU draining processes might choke the CPU for a few seconds...

RAM, when it runs out must rely on a swap file, that is on the slow HDD.
I'd wager the stutter is when the system needs the HDD and its parked, so you wait and wait, the computer waits and waits for it to spin up and then the procedure may continue.

Look in task manager, hard page fault statistics.
If you see anything more than 0 per second, you are short of ram.

I would highly suggest that you replace your HDD with a ssd.
If you have a page fault, a ssd will resolve it some 40x faster.
It is easy to do and you will be amazed at how responsive your laptop becomes.

Adding 4gb is easy to do also.
