I ive had an rx580 for 2 days, the first day everything went ok and yesterday it started doing dis from time to time.

Initially thought it was crashing my whole pc but then i realized that its only visual so i tried unplugging the hdmi adaptor and it worked. Every time this happened, unplugging the cable fixed it but its annyoing when it happens mid game.

Im using gpu hdmi port>hdmi to vga adaptor>vga cable>monitor. This never happened before upgrading so my guess is that something is wrong with the gpu or the adaptor.

Specs: i5 3570, 8gb ram 1333 mhz, gigabyte rx 580 and 550w psu

When posting a thread of troubleshooting nature, it's customary to include your full system's specs. Please list the specs to your build like so:
CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time.

You might want to do away with the adapters/convertors and see if a native cable from the GPU to your monitor helps.

Please elaborate on what you're referring to as an upgrade, as in, what did you upgrade?
