I have this GA-F2A55M-DS2 Motherboard and i am planning about changing my PC Specs by the end of the year.

Can Radeon HD 7870 be compatible with my Motherboard?

I cant tell it by now because im new at computer learning.

There is also issue that it wont be able to fit on the case. My current GPU is AMD Radeon HD 5500, maybe there is some GPU that has the same size and compatible to my mobo if 7870 is not compatible. Please tell me.

Also: Is AMD A10-6800K Compatible at my Mobo?

What case do you have...?

Basically there are 2 types of cards, depending on the bracket: normal and low-profile.

As with the MB, it's a standard, so if it's the correct bracket it should fit... Of course, there are exceptions, you can not fit a big high end card to a very restricted space mini-HTPC case. Only way to know, you should measure available space in your case and compare with the overall dimensions of the specific card... Not only GPU, but the specific part you wish to install (i.e. Sapphire Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition 2GB as opposed to plainly HD7870... There is more than one card model with that GPU).

That said, any normal-sized card will fit in any normal-sized case. But we need more details on the specific parts to give you a definite answer.

Thank you for taking your time! My last question is does PSU or Power Supply Unit really matter on buying new GPU its just the PCI express cards are compatible with any motherboard with PCI express support and it will be good?

It matters, the PSU is the most important part of your system!

It has to be capable to provide enough power for all your components and, if it falls outside specs, it might even damage your system. But, again, what PSU do you have? In fact, the best would be you post all your system specs (PSU, case, we already know the MB, current CPU, memory, storage drives and optical drives, and if you have any other PCIe device), so we would be able to be of more help.
