hese are the parts that I have, what GPU should I get with it? In pounds please! I've got around £600 I don't mind going a bit above, but not too much. Plan on playing GTA V on Max settings 1080p! The current total is £408. I've heard that nvidia and amd don't function together properly and have lower FPS.

Solution

Next level down GTX960 or R9 380 or R9 280.
If it wasn't for your CPU I would say 980Ti but with the 8350 your better off with a 970 or 980 which still might get a tiny bottleneck from you CPU in CPU heavy games

Also your PSU is low quality and should be upgraded to tier 1 or 2 before dropping in a high end gpu

I don't wanna break the bank with such a high end card. That card costs £270. Try stick to £210.

A GTX 960 will give you an average of ~50 fps on GTA V at 1080p/Ultra, with a minimum of 38fps. A GTX 970 would be faster, but would push you over your budget. I can't comment on the AMD cards, as I'm a little out of the loop on them.

Here's some cards running a GTA V benchmark: http://www.gamersnexus.net/game-bench/1905-gta-v-pc-fps-benchmark-graphics-cards

EVGA GS series can be had for < £50 and get good reviews

Both my computers have monitors at 1920x1080 the same as you.
I have a Z-97 (i7) which uses an ASUS GTX 970 Direct C U 11 STRIX.
The other a Z-77 (i5) uses an ASUS R9 290X Direct C U 11 OC.
You wouldn't go wrong with either choice and they both have back plates and the fans only cut in when they are very hot.

You will now receive many answers telling you to purchase something else but this is what I spent my cash on which is my highest personal recommendation.
My vote would go to the GTX 970 as it uses less power but neither will disappoint you.
Vic Stead.

I've switched the PSU with the 600W EVGA 100-W1-0600-K3 80PLUS ATX PSU

Swap over to a better motherboard, cheapest board that handles FX8350 http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/gigabyte-motherboard-ga970aud3p if you still want the 990FX chipset http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/gigabyte-motherboard-ga990fxaud3

Would the first board you recommended still be able to handle the FX8350 CPU perfectly without any drop in performance?

Yes it will one of the best 970 chipset boards with good power phase and VRM design.

Well I think I might go with that board and the r9 380 as it is a small upgrade from the r9 280x and its price is about the same.
