What GPU should i use?

I am going to use the GPU for games like battlefield hardline and steam games, Do I really need to buy a GTX 980 or will I be fine with a GTX 970 ?

what is the resolution of your monitor?

what exact operating system do you have?

I have an ATC-605-ub11, windows 8 64bit and some dell monitor, i5-4440

Have you checked it has a pci-e x16 slot for a graphics card?
Some cheap oem boards do not

The 300 watt psu will need to be replaced . It would melt if it tried to run even a GTX 970

and you didnt mention the resolution of your monitor
