Hello, I have recently purchased most of my new computer parts:

Intel 2500k
Asus p8z68 v-pro
Crucial M4
1TB Samsung Spinpoint F3
Corsair 8gb 1600mhz 1.5v
Corsair AX850w

My original plan was to use 2x gtx 570's in SLI,

However I have been wondering whether to use 2x 570's or a single 590. Perhaps 6950 CF or 6970 CF?
I have also thought of a single 580. Will I have enough power for two gtx 580's and an OC'd 2500k?

I will be playing demanding games such as Metro 2033, Crysis, and Battlefield 3,
so I will need the performance from high end cards. I will be playing at 1080p.

What do you think?

Thanks for taking your time to read.

Hi! Interesting question.

First of all, if you're only using 1 screen, any of these setups are a tad overkill. They will all be adequate at 1080p, to be sure.

Have you looked into getting a pair of 6950's? Their performance in dual cards setups is quite remarkable. They cost significantly less than a pair of 570's, but can almost match the performance. I suggest you look into them.

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-performance-radeon-geforce,3018-6.html Tom's suggests 2x6950's are the best buy right now. I have to agree!

Well, that's my thoughts. Cheers!
