I'm currrently in the process of upgrading my computer. When I first built it together I just grabbed the cheap GTX550ti for like 110 bucks. I'm noticing now that I'm getting into PC Gaming and want to play on high-ultra settings with a decent amount of Frames per second. My 550ti has started lagging in more of the newer games when playing on high-ultra settings.

My current build:

Asrock Extreme 4 gen.
i5-3570k
8gb of ram.
750 PSU.

What card could I get that would reach my requirements? My budget is about $350. If there is a card for cheaper that could reach my requirements let me know. Also if their is a card more expensive than my budget but has an increase in terms of performance then let me know of that too.

Thanks for the help.. If it matters, my monitor is the BenQ XL2420T.

I am using a Sapphire AMD/ATI Radeon HD 7970 3 GB GDDR5 Graphics Card which i had bought for Rs 30000/- Indian rupee

This is an absolutely amazing card. I was a bit reluctant to buy it first considering the price, but this card being the most fastest single GPU card as of now and it's ability to max-out *any* game; it's worth the cost. Additionally Sapphire bundles the card with a ton of connectors, so you don't have to buy them separately.

I play Crysis{1,2}, Battlefield 3, Dirt 3 at maxed-out details/high-res and this card handles it like butter. You can expect very efficient power consumption due to the 28nm GPU spec (Tahiti core).

This card it ready for AMD Eyefinity and the overclocking utility by Sapphire makes it very easy to...

I haven't yet overclocked it and its not necessary actually

I would recommend this card to anyone interested in gaming with all details maxed-out :). If you have the money now; go for it !!!
