Not too long ago i bought a pc which had been refurbished. I Will use it primarily for work, browsing the web and maybe if possible the occasional game. I'm a bit of an idiot when it comes to computers but i would like to make it better if possible. My system information:
Operating System is Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit
System model is Packard Bell Bv Istart
Processor: 3.07 Gigahertz intel pentium 4
16 Kilobyte primary memory cache
1024 kilobyte secondary memory cache
64-bit ready

Your motherboard has a PCI-e 16x port. It will accept almost any graphics card out there. But your CPU will bottleneck anything that will play games decently.

Also, the PSU with these pre-built PC is often of quality just enough for the system in question. You won't be able to put a mid-range graphics card in it, even previous generation ones.

If you want to use this PC for a little gaming, a Radeon 6570 will do. It does not require additional power connectors. It might still be more than your CPU can handle, but its around the lowest card you can get.

Still, if you can, you can built a nice little gaming PC that can run modern games for around $600.

So your saying i'm not able to play any games on my computer? As i included in the start of the thread, It will be used primarily for work, i am not bothered whether the games played on the computer are modern or not.

So your saying i'm able to play on games made in 2008 and below only? Do you know any graphics cards i should purchase for this? and if so, is it better my system being 32-bit or 64?

Other option is upgrading my processor right?
