Question What happens if i format C:drive ?

My C drive is the drive that has (perflog, program files,users,windows) etc

So after doing a complete reinstall of windows 10 on my PC, i found old files/programs/games from my C:drive...

So how do i clean it of programs and other old stuff from my previous pc, and make it like just bought from the store.

Can i format it from disk management? Or do i then also remove all of the essentials i need for the main drive (program files, perflog,users,windows)etc

Or do i just wipe all the "extra" stuff i had in my old pc?

Your C: drive/partition contains windows you are booting off so you can't format it. If windows are not on on that drive than it can't be C: but some other letter.

You installed the OS on your SSD, and these files you see are on the D drive (the HDD) that used to be your C drive?

Not really, previous i had my OS and a bunch of extra stuff in my C drive (SSD).

but when i reinstalled the os and windows, i still found some old stuff i previously had in the C drive.

So is it possible to remove extra files, but let the essentials for the OS to remain?

No, they are layed in different areas like before

You probably used option to keep files and programs during reinstall, it's marked by default. If you don't want them than you should choose to "Keep nothing" which brings you to virgin windows with all defaults.
