[SOLVED] What happens if I have a zen 3 CPU in the socket if the bios that supports it isnt installed yet?

My motherboard didn't come with zen 3 support out of the box so I will have to update it through USB BIOS Flashback so can I have the CPU in the socket before I do a USB BIOS Flashback update?

CPU - AMD Ryzen 5 5600X
Motherboard - ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING

for some reason i read this as the 3600x and not 5600x.

so yah you need the newer BIOS for the 5000 series chips.

b550 supports the 3000 series out of the box. you should have no issues and won't need a bios update to boot it up the first time.

hmm so BIOS version 0805 that my motherboard is at can already boot a zen 3 CPU? Because I heard you need a later version.

Ryzen 5 5600X requires BIOS version 1004 or later. Version 0805 is not enough.
