What happens when I get 100% new ram?

So I got a new motherboard but My ram doesnt fit so I new to buy new DDR4 ram so what will happen if i get a new ram will My stuff be left on the pc or do i need to download it again and will i have Windows still?

it will still be on the PC. RAM is only used for working the data not storing the data

It is on the hard drive still but when you change the motherboard it's always best to do a fresh install of windows. doing a fresh install of windows will wipe all your data so anything you can't replace needs to be backed up.
