Question What internet security does everyone use?

I just use Microsoft's Windows Defender/Security.

Malwarebytes from time to time to check on things.....

That said, the best thing is, as if often mentioned in this Forum, is to avoid websites and downloads that try to tempt you into visiting and downloading.

Meaning that the best defense is your common sense.

And do ensure that, as you always should be doing, is that your system and data is backed up.

Windows defender is low impact free and does the job for known viruses.
Yes, there are more aggressive apps that try to detect unknown viruses.
Not really worth it unless you regularly visit porn sites or respond to unknown emails.

^ Same! Very low impact.

I have always used Kaspersky. Now that its banned I'm trying to figure out what to get, I don't want a resource hog as I like to game and stream.
My Mom is that situation and I'm going to switch her to Norton (no as much of a pig as it used to be). Seems pretty easy to use. Of course, she won't be gaming and streaming.

Be Aware...The latest v.24 of Norton 360 was released not long ago. Some users are having issues with it. Version 22 is the best to stick to atm. Maybe wait for the update to v24 before considering. IMO

I personally use Norton 360 and have had no problems with it affecting my system for about 4 years now. I like to turn off the Automatic firewall setting and let it ask for internet access for software and services. Can improve system security, eliminate unwanted update checking for certain software, free up resources and reduce network clogging/usage by stopping windows and other software phoning home with telemetry and diagnostics etc. You can select for requests to Allow/Block once, or Allow/Block always.
