Hey everyone, i wanted to ask if its worth upgrading from ryzen 7 5800x 2x16 g skill 3200mhz to i5 13600k ddr5 memory or i can just upgrade the cpu to ryzen 9 5900x? i want more FPS. THANKS for any help,

Im located in Serbia my budget is around 500$ for upgrade, i need more fps in VAL & CS

Pc is bought 1 year ago and everything is brand new

Where are you located, how much is your upgrade path going to cost you and what sort of a budget have you set aside for your upgrade path? What sort of tasks do you tax your build with? More FPS in what title?

Neither honestly, a 5800X3D will get you more performance, but I would go socket AM5 with a Ryzen 7 7800X3D if you're going to be changing motherboards. Or you could wait a bit since the Ryzen 9000 series should be out soon.

I agree with @artk2219, just slot in a 5800X3D. Your proposed changes aren't worthwhile.
