What is a Comparable Card

Have a Gigabyte GV-N760WF20C-2GB that I need to replace, wondering what card would be a comparable replacement. I don't know much about gaming computers, was asked to build one and the card I have is not working.

What would be a step up I notice the one I had may be 1000+ cuda and this one is 600+ cuda. Building this for a guys son.

The next step up would be a GTX 1050 Ti. It would be a very minor step up. It is about 15% faster.

Any other cards are insanely expensive right now. Due to the extreme demand from crypto-currency miners. They are nearly double their normal price right now. Some models more than double. Even the 1050 Ti is over 30% higher than normal.

Anyways, the next appreciable step would be a GeForce GTX 1060 3GB/6GB or Radeon Rx 580 4GB/8GB.

The cuda cores of the newer generations are much more efficient and can process more data. Other than that, what velocityg4 said.
