No, it doesn't matter.
For creating a RAID, you'll need at least 2 drives. RAID is common in data centers where hundreds of drives are used to create single logical drive. While consumers also can use RAID due to the RAID chips included with MoBos (my Z170 MoBo also has RAID chip), it's quite uncommon for consumers to use RAID. RAID usage in consumer sector is a niche, just like a custom made water cooling loop.
