What is an ROG motherboard and is it better than my Gigabyte B550 gaming X motherboard?

Asus's ROG branding designates the cream of the crop of their technology and ofte are priced the highest among other boards. The Strix is still within the ROG series but they're priced a step below them. The Gaming series in Asus's portfolio is lower than the Strix, quality and design wise.

Which Asus board are you trying to compare with that Gigabyte? Asus have a number of boards in their portfolio.
