what is a stable overclock for r9 270(NON X)

I want to overlcock a little bit but want it to be stable and not too hot. Any ideas??

Over-clocking is very much a chip-by-chip characteristic. While some chips may easily over-clock to 120%, others may fail at a 0.1% over-clock. While most chips fall between these extremes, there is no guaranteed, stable over-clock for any chip set.

U should also watch out for the cooling, is it a reference r9 270?
There are some aftermarket ones that are already overclocked and cooled very well so u can overclock them even further.........others u cant overclock them as much
