Not sure exactly what mobo you have. The website for their Maximus X Formula mobo, p.1-19, says it has three CHA_FANn headers for case fans, ONE header called EXT_FAN, and several others for specific uses. The EXT_FAN header is NOT for use with any standard fan directly. Instead, it is a place to plug in an extra-cost accessory you get only by ordering. That is a circuit board with additional fan headers you can use through the mobo for more fans. BUT, to use four fans with your existing mobo and not require that added board, all you need is a single SPLITTER that will allow you to connect two of those fans to a single CHA_FAN header.
Just fan headers, you can install more fans and control them with the motherboard (if you get the right type of fans)
Common fan header names would be CPU_FAN, CPU_OPT, OPT_FAN, CHA_FAN, FAN1, FAN2, FAN3, and so on.
Well this is why I'm confused, the fans of the case are already hooked to the case's fan controls panel (case is phantom 820) ... Do I put them on the MB or keep them on the case?
PS: MB only has 3 EXT_FANs while the case has 4 fans

Thanks for Best Solution. If you need any help on getting a Splitter (NOT a Hub), post back here.
Well that was a good explanation, and I'm omw to the pc store next by to check if they have splitter, I also need a usb2.0 header splitter T-T ... four usb2 on case, can't even use one
But anyway I hope you don't mind that I message you later on to ask you a couple of things?
