What is awesomium process?

so I just got play with six for modding arma 2 and I saw some things called awesomium process in my task manager. there was about nine of them. I turned all of them off, then checked my programs list, saw awesomium setup and got rid of it. Now that it's gone, play with six asks me to re-install it every time I start it up, and if I don't pw6 won't start. is awesomium safe? can I redownload it to use pw6 or was I right to get rid of it?

i have that too, but its only on when i play DDO. it doesnt really bother me, cuz all 6-9 of them only take up like 1% ram and 1% cpu power.

so it's not spyware? or anything else bad? I can install it on my computer safely?

It is also associated with Quicken. There can be one or two "awsomium" processes running.

Quicken has been improved such that it now crashes occasionally. I saw the "awsomium" error when Quicken was having trouble logging in to my banking accounts. I exited and re-started Quicken and it worked fine.
