I have a system with 8GB of ddr3 memory, a GTS 250 graphics card and a 256GB crucial mx100 ssd, all of which is used as a VM instances running PC mostly.
Just recently, I recalled that there were two types of video cards used for direct X visuals and gaming or professional use in programs like Photoshop and such.
When it comes to VMs, specifically VMware Workstation, would using a high-end regular desktop GPU benefit more for 3-4 simultaneously used VMs running vs. A workstation gpu running the same 3-4 VMs at the same time?
Meaning, could it render all 3-4 VMs displays without performance being choppy among any of them? Desktop gpu or workstation gpu?
