What is better? Two 560 Ti's, or a single R9 280x

My friend is trying to decide if he wants to get another 560 ti, or a single R9 280x. I figured I should go ahead and ask people who know more before telling him.

Go for the single 280x the only 560 ti he will find is old. A new 280x will last longer have far less frame time variants and with newer architecture get better frame rates in newer games especially. Not all games suppourt multi gpu configs anyways so having a single 280x provides smooth gamelplay across any game not just games that suppourt dual gpu

Two 560Ti in sli is something around a single 680. Ofcourse 280X is a better choice especially over the issues faced in SLI config. Buy a decent enough PSU for that 280X and you're good to go.

There is still problem with low vram some 560 ti only have 1 GB of vram. That will become an issue a single modern card is a better option
