What is better with low budget CrossFire or new GPU?

Ok so i have an radeon r9 270X 2 gb graphics card, and i want more from my games, i don't know if to buy another 270x and use crossfire to boost performence, or to buy a completly new graphics card. Can't afford the high end variety, so yeah.
What is better moneywise CrossFire or new card?

Well, what kind of power supply have you got?

With SLI and crossfire you get diminishing returns, fast.
This is maybe biased, but I find that most games utilize multiple GPU's poorly. I've always opted for a single powerful GPU for the following reasons:

* Less hassle
* Less heat generated
* Less power consumed
* Less noise

Your card has 2 gigs of memory on it. That is a massive bottleneck. You really shouldn't get anything with less than 4Gigs, even if you are hard up for money. 4GB+ of memory, AMD or Geforce - dealers choice. AMD is usually the best bang for your buck, but you probably know that already.
