Question What is crucial difference between 1920X and 2920X Threadripper's

I'm looking to use ASRock X399 Taichi with 4x nVidia GeForce 2080Ti's.
So I've been thinking about these 2 Threadrippers - 1920X (12-cores) and 2920X (12-cores).

I don't really understand the real difference between these 2 CPU's except price - 2920X costs twice more expansive.

As I understood both support 64 PCI Express lines.

Processor will not be used for rendering, only as a support for effeciency for 4x 2080Tis.

Please, help with choice.

I don't see that it matters then. But the differences are in their architecture.

Zen vs Zen+

Zen+ has a minor clock speed advantage and improved memory compatibility and speed (2933 vs 2666). That is about it.

Upcoming 3rd gen chips have a process node shrink and another architecture change. Also the capacity to double the core count. Though you do need to look at their latest motherboards, X399 won't work is my understanding.
