Hot liquid plastic is injected in to the mold, where it forms in the enclosure to make the desired shape of the contours of the mold.
It is then cooled and the outer mold or template is removed.

Leaving the same shape or contours in plastic, as the template, mold or die used.

vacuumed molded.
In some cases plastic an be heated until it is flexible.
And is placed over a mold of the desired shape to be in plastic it is sealed then a vacuum is applied to draw the hot plastic into the shape or form of the mold.

It it is left to cool where the plastic hardens taking on the shape of the mold.
