Not sure where your seeing "Everyone" the most used Air Cooler on the planet is the Cool master Line because of the Price to Performance ratio. I own nearly all Hyper 212+ or Hyper 212 Evo Coolers all with Scythe Slip Stream Fans. Noctua coolers are normally near double the price of a Evo and don't offer a huge gain in performance for the cost as well as being freaking huge. The Cool Master fans are alright as far as performance they are mid tier fans that last for some time.

The AF120 fans I have never used but from what I read then can be very loud as well as the Mounting Grommets tend to rip off. As always it's worth a try your opinion might be different than others, I started using Scythe fans about 7 years ago and I have stuck...

Because Noctua offers very high quality (cooler, thermal paste and fans) and has a very good customer support, who will even send you new mounting kits for old coolers if there is a new socket released. I got a new mounting kit once and didnt even pay for postage. Another time I received a fan that made noises from the bearing. They sent me a new one instantly without any questions, though I had to prove with a picture I destroyed the old one. Plus they will take your criticism seriously and wont answer with a generic pre-made reply.

Good Customer Support for double the cost, sounds good unless your budget oriented and just want the best cooler for the money. I

Yeah, I know some people like to buy cheap... and thus buy twice, thats why China crap is so successful.
I see failing fans on cheap coolers every day. Noctua fans run far longer and quieter.

Also you mentioned the old 212, which, compared to the old Noctua NH-D14, runs 10 C hotter. That difference is worth a lot, especially if youre overclocking.

You do realize that hardly anything on a PC is made in the US right? 80% of all Fans come from China. good luck finding a Cooler and Fans made here. Hyper 212 any of them are far from cheap and a D14 performing better well it is 2X heavier, 2X bigger and 2X to 3X more expensive which puts it entirely in another class. I will gladly pay $12 for a Evo..yes $12 when your a reseller and buying Bulk then add better fans and paste which is still cheaper than a D14 also you rarely have to worry about Clearance. Noctua stuff is nice for "Premium" but for everyone else that wants the best for a decent price that is what put the Hyper line on the map it's far from crap.

I am talking about cheap China crap. I am sure even Noctua gets at least some of its products produced in China. But they arent designed in China.
10C difference is like day and night on a CPU cooler. If you seriously dont care about 10C and are not willing to pay money accordingly for that, a much quieter cooler, much higher reliability and free mounting kits, then sorry, but a boxed cooler will be enough for you. You wasted $12.
And clearance... lol. This isnt 2008 anymore. Not to mention that Noctua and mainboard producers offer compatibility lists. And if you seriously want to cramp a NH-D14 into a M350 case, you need to buy some new glasses. :)

Clearance 0.o Not sure what your talking about there. I Co Owned and PC Repair shop for 15 years and was also a Dell and HP Reseller for most of that time. We bought from distributors or straight from Manufactures at a fraction of the cost offered to the normal consumers. The down side is buying 10 or more of Part X at a time which isn't a big deal as we sold off on Ebay. Sorry I'm not digging your elitist vibe here I have never had a Customer compliant or return a product because of overheating and we did all the Overclocking that was ordered. Premium Coolers were always added to a Build list which included NH-D14,Thermalake Water 3.0 Pro, NZXT Kraken X40, All the Corsair HXX Line and custom designed In house systems along with Made to Order Cases. Cool Master products were offered as a upgrade over Stock coolers and picked the most often, the Premium line rarely sold and when it did 90% was one of the Corsair coolers. I'm not new to this stuff I know what the Noctua line can do, it just didn't sell. We also had Deals with Distributors; Corsair, Antec,Gigabyte and Lain Li were what we got the largest discounts on and what sold the most because of it.

Noctua products are made in Tawain they are owned by Kolink International Corporation and the last time I checked a Map Taiwan is part of ROC is it not?

The point is despite noctua being expensive its the best. When you look at price/performance cheaper coolers will always be better but if you want it too be as cool, quiet and the best quality available nothing can beat noctua.
