I think the pc800 is the memory bus speed but what is the 40. Is that that access time in nanoseconds? Also how do I find out if my ram is pc800-40 or pc800-45. I've looked all over for specifications that would tell me but have been unsuccessful. I ask because I was reading up about a motherboard i am thinking of buying and it said it only support 533 fsb with pc800-40 rdram not pc800-45 rdram.

Sometimes you have to remind yourself it's your own life, live it.

The reason it won't support 45ns RDRAM is because...
PC800-40 is a faster overclockers version that will run at PC1066 speed, which is necessary to run a 1:1 bandwidth ratio with the "533" bus speed.

If you plan on using the "533" bus speed, I suggest PC1066 instead, which is available at 32ns.
