What is the best aftermarket heatsink/fan cooler for an AM3 AMD CPU?

I do not want to upgrade to an AM3+ I don't need it. I heard that stock AM3 fans/heatsinks are extremely loud and I want to know what is the best/most quiet aftermarket cooler for an AM3 AMD CPU. Also, share your experiences with stock AM3 CPU coolers if you have any. I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter but the specific CPU name is AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition.

The stock heatsink isn't TOO bad during the cold months. In Summer, it sounds like a damn aeroplane.

I bought a TX3 EVO due to the Hyper 212 being too tall for my case. Even at a fan level of three, I'm only hitting 48C under load. 'Tis not audible at all when I'm gaming due to the whole sound aspect of vidya games. Unlike the stock cooler.
 
I just recently purchased a aftermarket cpu cooler for my new build and went with the noctua nh-c14 only 156mm and fits into a aerocool mechatron mid tower pc case(176mm).
 
I bought a 8350 a few days ago, started up a game of Witcher 2 on Highest Graphics the game could muster and it sounded like a god damn beehive. So yeah the stock cooler is quite loud. It can't handle over clocking either, a small 10% OC boost made it crash.
