So I want to upgrade my CPU and RAM, not in any specific order, my mobo specs are
Dell 084J0R Ivy Bridge LGA 1155 with i3 3220 3.3 GHz. Chipset Revision 09 and southbridge model p75/b75. I want to upgrade to an i7 3770, as that is the best i7 processor for LGA 1155(besides the K version) But according to this forum thread http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/desktop/f/3514/t/19613720 my machine(which was originally an inspiron 660) can't handle any i7. I have the same mobo as the OP. Is this true? Can my mobo not handle an i7? And this post
http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/desktop/f/3514/t/19535544 says someone with the same mobo has 12 gb of ram. I have seen lots of sources saying that it can only handle 8 GB, but i want to upgrade to 16 gb if it is possible. Can anyone clarify if my upgrades are possible? Please someone help!
