I have an hp pavilion g6 2000 series with an amd a4-3400m and I want to know what the best cpu is for this laptop

Don't upgrade the CPU in that laptop. It's not worth it. The best you can put in that laptop is a AMD A8-3520M (1.6 GHz/2.5 MHz, 4 MB L2 cache)

He's, right. Upgrade is not worth, instead go for new Generation laptop.
Right now go for atleast 6th Gen if you can't afford latest ones, otherwise I will recommend minimum 7th Gen Laptop now-a-days.

"I heard" only counts if you see one actually running, in that exact laptop.

I've mucked about with a lot of these 2000 series G6s. And, every single one I ever seen with an amd mb you could put a 4600M (although the a10 5750M is a better choice) ... except yours apparently. Are you absolutely sure your current processor is a A4 3400M ... that uses a completely different socket than any g6 I've ever seen.

You're thinking he has an a6 3400m apu ... apparently, he has an a4 3400 ... different animal entirely ...not even the same socket.
