I have Chieftec 400W and i7-920 with 4GB DDR3 RAM without option to add more RAM;
So my question is what would be the best GPU to pair with this system, also it has 2 pci-e x16 slots.
Thanks in advance!

Solution
The eight year old i7-920 is equivalent to the i3-6100. Therefore I would:

* buy GTX 1060 6GB
* buy new PSU (Seasonic S1211 520 or EVGA G2/G3 550/650)
* buy 8 GB DDR3 DIMM

Note: Purchase the 1060 from a site with a no-hassle return policy, just in case it doesn't work with your X58 setup. Keep vendor and shipping box until you confirm it's working.

It seems logicaly to have more fps in singleplayer because in multiplayer there more players and a bigger map.

Hello... Also the internet connection, between players locations will hold back progress (FPS) of the Game too... testing FPS of a system/game is best without a multi-player internet connection involved... using Multi-player or large Maps VS the AI would be good FPS TESTs... Also I use multi-player replays for settings and FPS testing too B )

That's tricky to say, as every game is different. But at 1280x1024, you won't see much, if any advantage to get better than a GTX 1050, or maybe a Rx 460.

Bottlenecking may be a product of your CPU being too slow to keep up with the GPU, but that is only because you have too much GPU for your resolution. It's not your CPU that is the problem, but how much GPU power needed for your resolution.

If you are already at 60 FPS, and want more, that is when you need to concern yourself with your CPU, and that is why it is really difficult to say that X card is too much, because it varies a lot from game to game.

Hello... Yes the programing and engine used, will be directed towards the CPU or GPU use in processing... Some games are harder on the CPU or GPU than others... it's balancing act between the hardware and the APP graphical settings for a Multi gaming system. The use of Vsync can help for a consistent visual, tempo and re-action in Game playing.

no it isnt, the i3 6100 is a good upgrade

it is very close to the i5 4430

Hey man!
I found this one: http://www.kupujemprodajem.com/8gb-Ddr3-KINGSTON-40742555-oglas.htm?filter_id=94176967
"memorija testirana i ispravna. imam vise komada brzina 1600 MHz" = Memory is tested and it works.I have more pieces, speed 1600Mhz.
I am not best in this bussiness with ECC-server memory and non server - standard memory, so plase help me, will this one maybe work with my setup?I will pull out my kingston 1333 4GB and put this one in that working slot.
I will leave all settings on default, won't overclock anything.
Please answer as soon as possible, thanks!

Hi. I have no idea if this memory will work with your motherboard. I cannot even read the language. You should contact them directly, tell them your motherboard model, and ask them. I also suggest reaching out to the motherboard maker as well. The reason that I mention MemoryC is because their configurator states that it works with your motherboard. And despite that I still think that you should reach out to them in order to confirm that.

Ok thanks on everything anyway!

+salerhino On the night that I provided you with the link to the 8 GB DIMM, I took the liberty of sending an inquiry via email to MemoryC. So far I've received an automated ticket number for my question about compatibility with your motherboard. Feel free to private message me and I'll let you know when they respond with an answer, or I can forward you the ticket number, and you can check the status of the request yourself via a link that was included in the email.

Happy Holidays,

- Rob

Given that he is playing at 1280x1024, a 1060 is likely going to be too much for his system. A 1050ti is probably the most he needs.
