My internet speed is 150Mbps but the router i have now locks at 40-50Mbps due to being old and trash. My PC i own has a 980Ti, i5-4690, 4x4GB RAM, and a GIGABYTE GA-H97-Gaming 3 motherboard. My NVIDIA and Windows says they recommend a 802.11n dual-band Wireless Router and the one below is one i think will meet the requirements needed to allow my PC to run its full speed. Can anyone give me their opinion on if the one below will work or not?

Depends on what kind of wifi card you use and the distance to the router as well, but i would recommend to for something like this,
https://www.amazon.com/TP-Link-Archer-C7-Wireless-Gigabit/dp/B00BUSDVBQ/ref=sr_1_2?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1480640506&sr=1-2&refinements=p_n_feature_keywords_browse-bin%3A2882828011
i know it's more expensive, but imo is it worth it.
You could also take a look at this if the wired connection is still good,
http://www.newegg.com/Powerline-Networking/SubCategory/ID-294?Tpk=powerline
these use the powerlines in the house for distribution of the signal to/via the wallsockets.
