What is the best z170 motherboard?

I would like to know if there is a winner among the z170 motherboards around 300$ or i can just prefer looks or whatever ?
Do you have any suggestion?

I just got the Asus Z170 Hero, their Z87 and Z97 Hero's were tthe best rated and best selling, as well as the best I built on for clients, am trying a 6600K with 32GB of Trident Z in mine (well waiting for the release of the Trident Z, just got a 2x8GB set of Ripjaws V 3000 yesterday so I can at least get it up and running till they release the Z line (with my luck probably in the next couple of days 😉 )

Any flaws with it? Or it functions as intended?
Do you miss the killer e2400 internet thingy the other mobos have or never even thought ablout it?

All basically use Gb ethernet chipsets, and most have software that lets you quasi manage the stream of data, the Asus has their LANGuard and GameFirst tech. I like the audio, OCing, DRAM management, fact they run cool, great BIOS

Any stability issues? We expect none from a rog hero right? 😀
The things i read on review forums is that it is a must have (kitguru) platinum editors choise kind of board

Putting it together today and tomorrow, have a few odds and ends I want to try with it (GPUs, PSUs, drives) basically when I build for myself I play the first few days

My last board was an asrock fm2a55 dgs and i would like a worlds better motherboard something like a day night change
The thing is the gigabyte z170 gaming 7 eu the rog viii hero and the msi gaming 7 trade blows so its terribly hard to coose :/
This is when a there is real competition among products and companies 😀

I generally look to Asus first, then the Rock followed by Gigabyte for Intel mobos, those are the only 3 I'll build on for myself or clients, won't touch MSI due to their poor QC.

What is QC?

The only thing gigabyte has over rog hero is a second ethernet connection on the back
not really a gamechanger but it comes with no additional cost 😀

I'd say get the RoG hero, I own one as well and they come with quite some nice perks, however all the additional tools were a bit overwhealming, the amount of fine-tuning you can do is amazing.

The boards will arrive at sepember 16th i will check the giga too but probably buy the rog hero and send back the rest 😀

I also ordered some x99 mobos like the msi x99a mpower and the i7 5820k so there is a chanse i will go for that not much chanse thou 😉

I ordered the rog hero viii but still dont know
Gb z170 gaming 7 has more features
But rog hero viii ocs better and feels more stable i decided next to this
But gb can be the better mobo if it gets a better bios update fixing xmp vdroop and gliches hmm...
