Then am I to assume he is infamous for horrible movies?

i can say that after watching 'alone in the dark', 'house of the dead', 'postal', the bloodrayne movies: he is really bad at writing/producing/directing. not intentionally bad, but bad. i could throw all sorts of insults at his movie making skills and i might be right - which happens very rarely.
he frequently makes/tops lists like 'top 10 worst directors in the world' or 'the worst directors'.
watched postal and bloodrayne movies because i didn't play the games.
i should have played the games and should have stopped there  .

i've recently watched zombieland.. but i still prefer to play plants vs. zombies in which i'm a lot addicted..hahah.

28 Days Later
It changed how we view zombie movies/games forever. It was the first appearance of fast moving zombies, and we will never go back.

Not only that, but it is a brilliant movie not only in it's writing but in its cinematography (such a beautifully shot movie).

I am Legend, was very good!

Zombies are really aggressive and scary, they're not like walking dead, they're more like running dead and very intimidating.

The movie has good SciFi roots, meaning first of all a reason it happens, laying a good foundation to build the movie on.

IMO a very good movie of the zombie genre!

wanamingo: I completely agree with the book selection. I lent the survival guide to a buddy and he called freaking out thinking that the examples/ small stories at the back were true. I have some pretty stupid friends by the way and yes I did play along with it for a week or so.
tempzin: 30 days of night is a vampire movie not zombies. I was really stoked for it because the comics are unreal. It did not live up to my expectations.
I put my vote in for the walking dead tv series, not as good as the comics but still entertaining. As per movies I think 28 days later was pretty good and Zombieland is great. I didn't mind I am Legend but it was a complete copy of the Omega Man and Will Smith could never be the bad ass that Charlton Heston was.
