Question What is the cable? Where can I find a conversion lead for it

I've got an issue where I have to install a new WiFi modem by the end of today before I lose my WiFi access. The useless new company I got supplied me with the wrong cable and I need to get a new one by the end of today

What I need is a cable that can plug into the socket of the type the green lead has and can then connect to the blue lead at the other end. What is it called, what should I look for?

what this ISP? what the modem model?
My new modem is an Icotera i6855-00. I need a way to get that blue lead plugged into the modem but it only accepts the green cable

Long story short my ISP forgot to provide me with an adapter and their cutting off service this evening

What do I need to buy I have no idea what these cables even are :(

better to go to a shop and take the existing cable so they can get the correct type
Ah that's not quite what I'm after. I want a cable that has the green end like the one you listed but a connector on the other end that can connect to a blue cable

Or if it exists a simple blue to green adapter, so something that can link the blue and green ends on that cable you listed

For some reason my machine does not like imgur today so I can't see you photo but from your description it is just a matter of looking up the correct part number.
The fiber strand itself is almost all the most common single mode fiber you can find.
The ends are more complex, the color of the connector relates to how the fiber is cut not the physical size of the connection.

The 2 connectors you see in the linked example are LC and SC. These come in either UPC or APC which is what the blue and green mean. There are about 16 combination. This is where you kinda need to learn what these letter mean so you can buy the correct cable.

Thanks I know what I need

I need a LC/UPC female to a SC/APC female OR male cable/adapter. Where can I get one with fast delivery in the UK?

Amazon don't seem to do this combo on fast delivery

I am not so sure they make a "female" fiber cable. What you generally use a small coupler that lets you connect 2 cables together. They are just simple plastic things that keep the fiber aligned.

This is a example. Note the color does not matter so much this is only plastic clip that holds the fibers together.
Note even though you can plug a SC/APC in one side and a SC/UPC in the other it will not work....well it will mostly work just with some signal loss. So if you need to change both the fiber connection type and the way it is cut you will likely need a some different couplers and small patch cable.
A company may sell that as a kit but I have not spend any time looking for it.

So if I'm pressed for time I can use a UPC to UPC to keep my internet as a stopover?

They are different connectors for fiber optic.
