Sorry this may be a stupid question. it's my first time building my own PC, with my ASUS motherboard I also got a 'Chipset Support DVD'. The manual says it has, Drivers, ASUS Utilities, EZ Update, Anti Virus Software (OEM Version).

I don't have a DVD drive so I can't check the disc and need to decide if it's worth buying a DVD drive

I'm able to run Linux without issues so what drivers are on the disk, and do I need them?
What Utilities are there on the ASUS Utilities?
What is the EZ Update
If i'm on linux i don't use AV, or is this some different motherboard AV I haven't heard about before?

Thanks

Solution
Yes, you can run Linux without any of the Windows stuff on the DVD. You can download the same (usually more current) files on your motherboard's support site.
