[SOLVED] What is the correct way / sequence to install the chipset and video card drivers?

Hello, I have a question regarding the sequence of drivers that I should download, are 2 chipset drivers and 1 video card.

Have the motherboard chipset directly from the gigabyte website, version 19.10.16

It also has the amd website chipset, version 1.11.22.0454, I believe it is for the processor

And lastly the video card on the amd website in version 19.12.2

When I install the video card first and then the motherboard chipset, the motherboard replaced the video card. I don't really know if I need this motherboard chipset driver or processor. What sequence should I download these 3?

Chipset first, everything else second or after the chipset.

And really, I like to see chipset to latest version, then BIOS to latest version, then network controller, audio and any primary or secondary non-RAID storage controller drivers that are not included with the chipset drivers (IF any) and then the graphics card drivers.

In MOST cases we like to see the chipset drivers downloaded directly from either Intel or AMD, but in some cases, such as with Intel Z390, there are no Intel direct drivers available and drivers MUST be obtained from the motherboard product page. If it is a chipset where drivers ARE available directly from Intel or AMD, then those are USUALLY the best choice, except in cases like laptops or specialty devices that might require the manufacturer supplied drivers in order for product specific supporting hardware or features to work correctly. For aftermarket motherboards, it's usually best to get them from Intel or AMD, unless, like I said, there are none.

What are you ACTUAL hardware specifications including any relevant model numbers?

Ok, so I have to first install the motherboard chipset, located on the gigabyte manufacturer's website, then the processor chipset and finally the video card, right?

My settings:

B450 Aorus Elite
Ryzen 5 1600
Rx 580 4gb Gigabyte
16gb ram ddr4 4x4
CX 550w Corsair

So, install this driver first.

Then, (After checking to see if you are already ON a newer or one of these versions. If you are already on a newer version, do not worry about updating to an older version first. Simply update to the latest version IF you are already on version F40 or newer but not yet on version F50.) make sure you have the motherboard BIOS updated to version F32. Then update BIOS to F40, being sure to follow the explicit noted instructions listed on the BIOS update before doing so.

1. If you are using Q-Flash Utility to update BIOS, make sure you have updated BIOS to F32 before F40
2. Before update BIOS to F40, you have to install EC FW Update Tool (B19.0517.1 or later version) to avoid 4DIMM DDR incompatibility on 3rd Gen AMD Ryzen™ CPU.

Then, update to version F50.

The chipset driver from the Gigabyte product page is from 7-5-19. The one from AMD is from 11-25-19. USE the AMD supplied driver. They are ALMOST always going to be the newer, more up to date, latest driver version. The only time the motherboard supplied version is going to be the better choice is if it is newer than what is on the AMD website (Rarely, if ever) or if there IS no driver separately available. In this case, use the latest driver from the AMD website as it has a much newer release version. No need at all to worry about the one on the Gigabyte website.
