What is the difference and which do you think is the better card?

I was in the same boat and wound up getting the 100ME model because it went with my system's color scheme (black / green) better. :lol:

So you're telling me the only difference is that one is Red and Black and the other is Green and Black? 😀

The only difference I can ascertain (besides color) is that the 100ME has 1 x DL-DVI-I and 1 x DL-DVI-D as opposed to just two DVI ports.

It looks like they have 3 GPU's that are pretty much the same thing. We've got red and black, green and black, and now a white and black version they are going to call the 970 GTX OC which all seem to have the same build and stats, just different colors and write-ups. Just gotta love that marketing. I guess I'll go with the red considering I like the Asus Maximus mobo lineup so much and will probably stick with that for the foreseeable future.

The first two are essentially down to color.
However, the 970 OC does not carry the Twin Frozr V cooler, rather the armor 2x cooling solution.

I would just go with the Gaming 4GB (red model)

Yeah, that's pretty much the conclusion I've come to. I've been with EVGA for a long time due to their lifetime warranties and great customer service. I was just wondering what MSI is like in that area. I have a list as long as my arm of things I've registered with EVGA and had replaced and even upgraded due to the length of their warranty. It would be pure bliss if either Asus (which I've dealt with and their service is okay to good, but no extended warranties) or MSI (of which I have no experience with) had similar deals.

I'm going to call Asus (I don't expect much if anything from them in the warranty area) and MSI and see if there is anything. EVGA doesn't do the lifetime thing anymore (probably too many people like me that got 3 generations of boards out of buying one, not to mention the video cards....went from 7800GT all the way to a 280GTX). They have extended warranties for 5 years for 25 bucks though! (or 50 bucks for 10 years). I've gotten a bit spoiled in that area...not to mention their customer service was always very helpful, polite, and prompt.
