what is the difference between generic usb gamepad and xbox 360 controller..... and why only xbox controller is supported for

when i play don bradman cricket 14 ... it says it requires xbox controller. this cannot be changed....so what is the difference between these generic usb and xbox controller?

if the generic usb controller uses Xinput then it should work with your game.
