What is the difference between Ring cameras on battery power vs wired power?

I am going to run wires to my ring cameras, but I am debating running thick enough to just keep the battery charged vs switching the cameras to wired power. So...other than how electricity is delivered...what is the difference in the Ring camera operation? Are there other features that are enabled if the camera is switched to wired power?

I don't know about Ring, but with my Reolink cameras there is a definite difference between wired (PoE) and battery (solar).

The fully powered ones record ALL the time (as desired).
The battery ones, not.
