What is the easiest way to extract files from their folders?

Hi, I'm on Windows 7 Home Premium x86 and I'm wondering something.

I have a complicated Calbre Library folder; it has lots of files in a lot more folders than I can shake a stick at. Anyway, I've tried using Search and putting *.* in the search bar to get them in once place so I could move them to a single folder, but it hasn't worked. My questions are:

Either:
1: How can I get the Search utility to read all the files, instead of just some, as it's not reading .mobi and .epub files?

or
How can I extract all files from all the folders without using the Search, and paste them to a single folder, so I can get my Calibre to read them? I know there are many duplicates, but Duplicate Cleaner won't read them either.

Can anyone help me?

I had this same question last week when I was trying to clean up my itunes music. It was in a million different folder and several file types. And the windows 7 search doesn't do what the xp search would do. So i looked and looked and looked and couldn't find any program to gather all files out of multiple folder. until 2 days ago

It's a free program called flat folder. It will copy all of you file out of all of the sub directeries of any folders you tell it all at once into one folder all in one long list without and sub folders. No need to specify file types it just gravs everything out of all of the folders and piles it into one giant folder. I found it at softpedia heres a link for it.

also Auslogics has a free duplicate file finder that works fairly well too.

Thanks for finding that t Softpedia for me. I'll try that out. I'll also try out the Duplicate File Finder, as Duplicate Cleaner didn't find what I wanted it to.

I think file finder could be a better option to find all the files from your system or you have to do it manually.
