Question What is the main difference between the PCIe 3.0 version and PCIe 4.0 version of PM9A1?

Just saw a couple of sales on Dell OEM version of PM9A1, the drive label clearly says the drive is running at PCIe Gen3 x4 instead of the normal Gen4 x4, and it has a smaller power draw (1.8A compared to 2.8A). I tried to find some details about it, but it seems like it has the same Elpis controller and PCB as other PM9A1s do. Anyone know if this batch of PM9A1 is different (hardware-wise) from the "normal" PCIe 4.0 versions, and what lead to the production of them?
