Question What is the max resolution on GIGABYTE Z890M AORUS DisplayPort

Anyone knows what kind of resolution I can get from the DisplayPort on a gigabyte z890 aorus with a intel core ultra processor?

I would like to put my three monitors in daisy chain where they all run 2560x1440@60 Hz resolution.

Intel claims the gpu can do 8K at 60 Hz and gigabyte says the DisplayPort support 2.1 and 4K at 144 Hz. My understanding is that is enough bandwidth do drive three monitors at 2560x1440 but I’m not sure.

You should be good to go, if your 3 monitors allow for daisychaining either off of DP 2.1 port or the USB4 port.

Three monitors at 1440p 60 Hz would require HBR3 speed. But most 1440p 60 Hz monitors would not support this speed, so there may be issues running in a daisy chain. Would depend on the monitor. It should be doable with an MST hub though.

What are the make and models of the monitors you want to work with?

As main display I have a dell u2722de that supports DisplayPort 1.4 over daisy chain. Second display is a one year old lenovo 27” 1440p, I need to check specs on that one. Third display is currently an old 24” 1080p screen but I intend to replace it later on.

Currently I have the two 27” screens running 1440p over daisy chain and the third is on a separate graphics card.

So there might be bottlenecks in the monitor? My main display supports upstream DisplayPort 1.4 which should be fine right? I need to check specs on the other ones.

Second display is lenovo p27 q. It only supports display port 1.2 and I guess that will be a bottleneck. Luckily I haven’t purchased 3rd screen yet. So maybe if I put the Lenovo screen last in the chain?
