[SOLVED] What is the maximum graphics card i could upgrade to without changing my 500W psu?

Hi, as the question states, im planning to upgrade my gpu from an RX 570 up to a higher one without changing my current psu. I currently have a Thermaltake Toughpower GX1 500W 80+ Gold. So i would like to know what is the highest gpu i could uprade to without needing to get a new psu.

Full specs:
Ryzen 5 3600 with stock amd wraith cooler
MSI Armor Rx 570 4gb
Thermaltake GX1 500W 80+ Gold
Asus Rog Strix B450-F Gaming
8gbx2 HyperX Fury
Silverstone Case with 2 built in led fans

Currently have no rgb/led fans aside from the ones that come with the case but planning to get some.
I dont plan on doing some OC because im not very familiar with it.

In theory you could go to a RX 5700XT or 2070 Super at max.

I wouldn't overclock with that PSU especially if its old.

I wont do any overclocking since im not familiar with those, just gaming on the default settings of the components

A little tight for me, personally, as I'm more comfortable with a bit more headroom, but not actually dangerous in this case; unlike a lot of Thermaltake PSUs, the Toughpowers are actually quite competent.

It looks like the 1660 super requires 450. That might be a tad safer since nvidia gpus are usually power efficient. And saves a little too.

Thoughts anyone?

Given that the margins are on the tight side, I'd get a 2070/2070 Super instead of an 5700xt; even 25-35 watts is meaningful given your PSU.

No matter what gpu you get, it wouldn't be a bad idea to start saving for a higher wattage PSU. I always just like to have some leeway.
