There are two USB 3.1 Gen 2 ports in the Asus Prime B450M-A motherboard. I cannot find the maximum power output in the spec. In wiki, it says USB 3.1 Gen 2 can output 100W. It can output 5V/2A, 12V/5A and 20V/5A. I don't think the motherboard can provide 100W to this port. Two ports will be 200W. It does not make sense.

I also do not understand how this port switches the voltage to 12V and 20V for LCD monitor and LCD TV respectively.

There is not maximum.
It will just stop at some point, every port is different.

The minimum is 5 watts though.
usually you can expect around 15-20 watts from the mobo ports
dunno about that 5v 12v and 20v stuff. maybe there's something i dont know

The Creative Pebble V2 speaker specifies a requirement of 5V/2A. I am trying to make sure the USB 3.1 Gen 2 port can deliver the speaker enough power. If the port can provide 15-20W, it should be enough.

The wiki says the USB 3.1 Gen 1 port has a maximum of 5V/0.9A only. I have to resort to the Gen 2 port.

I am actually pretty sure that newer revisions dont support more power.
Some usb ports though have supercharging.
