It really depends how much power your camera needs. The device linked in the above post and other like it abuse the PoE standard to try to make this work. What they do is run a device that is in effect a PoE powered 2 port switch. It retransmits the ethernet signal like any other switch but it also boost the voltage of the PoE back to the normal levels. Both these absorb some of the power. It also depends which PoE your switch provides you can start with either 15watts or 25 watts. This likely will only work well for cameras that are class 1 or class 2 PoE...ie they use less than 6.5 watts.
