[SOLVED] What is the performance gain that I will get if I upgrade from i7 8700k to i9 9900k?

I was wondering how much performance improvement I will get if I update from an i7 8700k to an i9 9900k.
I only use the computer for flight simming (XPlane 11)

My current specs:

i7 8700k
32gb DDR4 2666
ASUS Z370-A
RTX 2080 TI 11GB
SSDs Samsung EVO 860.

Unless Xplane is one of the very, very few games that can actually fully scale across 8 cores and 16 threads, any performance gain would be negligible. If you haven't already overclocked your 8700k you're likely to get similar results simply overclocking your current chip rather than replacing it with the 9900k.

Likely minimal to none, what does your CPU utilization look like in-game? Also, what resolution and refresh rate are you playing at?

I'm still running an i7-5820K with my RTX 2080 Ti because everything is GPU-bound at 3440 x 1440. Unless you're doing something to tax your processor more (like playing at 1080p and high refresh), upgrading won't do much for your FPS.

What are your system specs? Solid cpu so maybe something else could be upgraded.
