1. Insert the MoBo CD / DVD and there should be a utility that does the Hardware installs for you. Decide if there is something you don't need and you can skip that one. If not sure, install.
2. There may be newer drivers on the manufacturers web site. However, i always recommend that you install the ones from the CD for two reasons:
a) establish a working / not working "out of box" condition for warranty purposes.
b) It may contain, utilities that come as a "bonus" which are licensed and while the ones on the CD will have the license number / authorization, the ones on manufacturers web site oft do not.
3. Install all the drivers except those ya know don't want. Chipset and LAN drivers should be first. The USB driver will make your 3rd one go away.
4. Run Windows Update the 22 or whatever times it needs to update windows.
5. Never let Windows Update install hardware drivers. It often goes bad, very bad. And when it does, MS does not provide support, and when you use MS downloaded drivers, manufacturer does not provided support.
6. That driver utility will oft have a function that compares your drivers with ones on manufacturer's web site. It will say for example the current version is 5.51 and that the latest is 5.96 ... and it will have a checkbox offering whether you want to update.... very convenient, it d/l's and installs. Otherwise, just go to manufacturer web sites and d/l individually.
7. Don't forget Monitors, Optical Drives, Video cards, etc.
