It's supposed to keep your cpu from overheating which I get. But I have noticed that my cpu has been between 50 to 75C while gaming and my gpu has between 55 to 80C while gaming. The fans are running like full speed but still I don't like how high the temperature is getting at times. What kind of thermal paste should I be using for gaming?

Solution
A cpu chip needs a cooler of some kind.
With no cooler at all, the cpu will heat up to 100c. in5 seconds and shut down to protect itself.

Your temperatures are normal and nothing to worry about.

One factor not often considered is supplying sufficient fresh air to the cpu cooler and the graphics card.
The make/model of your case and fan arrangement matters.

The paste you have is fine. Differences in pastes are really minimal. Perhaps 2c. under load.
Not worth worrying about unless you are seeking record overclocks.

For normal gaming use, on current gen processors, it is best to not overclock and let the turbo mechanism do the job.

Thermal compound is just part of a cooling system. Changing thermal compound will probably lower temps a few degrees C unless your existing compound is very old.
I would recommend running with the side panel off and monitoring the temps. You could have an airflow problem rather than a compound problem.
But your temps are less than max allowed temps for typical components.

Information is key. I see the specs in the signature, but it still leaves some things out relative to cooling.
There's gonna be some guesses without more details from you - like this one:
Z590's default voltage settings are HORRID. You likely need to tune this yourself. Beware of Enhanced Turbo or All Core Enhancement features, which will make this worse.

Thermal paste, if applied correctly and isn't several years old, does not have as great an effect on performance compared to the cooler and chassis airflow.

Is there certain settings for the voltage to be at?

I have the nzt 410 phantom gaming case i have 2 fans on the top of the case, 3 fans in the front and 1 fan in the back

Noctua Nh1 ive used it for the last 11 years. Great stuff no electrical conductivity. If you want a slight bump you could try the Nh2 . As well.
